About

Danielle “Dee Dee” Willard, 21, was shot and killed by West Valley City Police (Utah) November 2, 2012.  Danielle had a 19-year-old sister and a 14-year-old brother and many friends.

Police have not been forthcoming with details about the shooting as formal reports have yet to be completed and police have not been open with Danielle’s family and loved ones. Suspicions of police misconduct immediately arose when police failed to make any allegations against Danielle or explanations for why she was killed.  There is still very little known about her death.

Please join our effort to demand Justice for Danielle.

My prayers go out to danielle, and the family. I sympathize with , and feel your pain. My brother was killed in colorado on a “no knock warranty “and was shot and killed. They said he had a weapon, But in the reports, and their testimonies, each one had conflicting statements.one policeman told us that he thinks it was a “Drop Gun Incident” I wish there were words of comfort your heart. Losing any loved one is very tragic, especially a child.Be strong, and dont let this one go away, cause someone knows what happened and is covering up. to bad in this instance it points to the same people that we entrust to protect us, that are the suspicious entities someone took an innocent , human , living persons life. and in america, justice( we pray) will prevail, GOD BLESS, Mr. Archuleta

My heart goes out to Danielle’s family and friends. But by the grace of God and my faster reflexes that would have been me (1988 no-knock warrant) and I still haven’t gotten justice. So keep on them (they falsified police reports, withheld some and freely gave perjured testimony in my case –costing me 20 years). But instead of holding all that anger within me I put together the ‘Willy the Plumber Scholarship’ (to help kids of inmates) instead; I only hope that they can make her memory live on as a good thing. I’d like to see justice also – but good luck.

    Emailed today to districtattorney@slcounty.org:
Another death from our War on Drugs. It must be stopped. This time it is an unarmed young woman in her car.

A year ago Utah suffered when an out of control Weber Morgan Drug Task Force sends 5 trigger happy young police to arrest a law abiding man whose former girlfriend says he was growing marijuana in his house. One officer killed, four others injured. We do all the wrong things by continuing to honor the killed officer; his family indicated he yearned to work on such a task force. The man who shot the task force is not innocent of using excessive force, but what do you expect from a veteran today? Our military taught him how to use a gun and kill people. That in itself can cause a veteran to suffer from PTSD. Training to kill is stressful by itself.

All these police shooting must cease.

Please stand up for rational justice and investigate the West Valley Police Department.

So sorry this has happened to Danielle and your entire family. You’re not alone, there are many families, across the country, hurting right now because of the same type of gross police misconduct. Reach out to other families, stand together, demand anwers and justice. The other side thinks they’ll win because the bet on a jury of our peers letting them win.

Thank you Mike – Yes they are ruthless in their misconduct and cover ups. One good thing came out of mine, I put together the Willy the Plumber Scholarship for children of inmates doing a lot of time or …. Check it out. Christopher Dorner gave his life trying to expose Police Misconduct.

Our hearts go out to the family,Our family has been there with the death of our brother in colorado on a no knock warrant,We still (after 24 yrs)havent gotten any justice. So dont let this injustice fade away, danielle, it seems, was a “wrongful Death” situation. These officers need to be held accountable for their actions, like anyboby else. This is a young, lovely, human being, that has lost her life, and and a family and friends must bear the pain and suffering of losing a loved one in such a horrible way.”Justice For Danielle”

Anonymous I just celebrated my 25th anniversary of a No-knock warrant intentional miscarriage of justice and cover up https://sites.google.com/site/aquestforjustice/ that cost me 20 years
The police are ruthless when they screw up, just like that tape getting burned up, PLEASE. I’m only glad that they now have a big name, out of state attorney on it now.
